Luxor balloon prices depend on your travel date, flight option, party and inclusions. Request a dated, written quote rather than treating an old blog price as today’s fare. With Luxor Sky Balloon, your request is followed by confirmation of availability, the agreed price and pickup before payment is arranged.
Compare like with like before comparing the number
A cheap-looking ticket can be a different product from the one you want. Start by writing down your non-negotiables: your preferred date, a sunrise or later departure, hotel or cruise pickup, the number of travelers and whether you need any private arrangements. Send the same description to each provider. A quote for a shared after-sunrise departure is not a fair comparison with an exclusive basket at the first morning wave.
Read what the advertised time represents. It may be a pickup estimate rather than the moment of takeoff. Our sunrise versus after-sunrise guide explains why the option name matters more than an isolated clock time. Neither a premium label nor a higher price can guarantee the sun appearing at a precise instant.
Use this inclusion checklist
| Quote item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Flight option | Shared or private basket; intended departure window; expected airborne time and weather conditions. |
| Transport | Your exact hotel or cruise, return point, and whether any river crossing is part of the arrangement. |
| Party price | Price per traveler, number of travelers, agreed total and currency. |
| Extras | Photography, refreshments, certificates, sightseeing, entry tickets and tips: included, optional or separate? |
| Changes | Guest cancellation deadline, weather cancellation options and what happens to separately booked transfers. |
Do not assume every provider bundles these items. At Luxor Sky Balloon, additional tours, special transfers and airport pickups need separate confirmation; gratuities are not included. Ask about ordinary accommodation pickup in your specific quote, particularly if you are outside central Luxor.
Check the total and currency, not only the per-person line
Ask for the final party total in writing. For an arithmetic example only, two travelers quoted USD 75 each would have a USD 150 flight total before any agreed extras. That example is not a current offer. A number on a screenshot without a date, currency or product description is not enough to approve payment.
If paying in a currency different from your account currency, review the payment provider’s displayed conversion and fees before you authorize the transaction. The operator’s quote and the amount finally shown by a payment provider are different checks. Never assume that writing a booking reference into a payment note proves the correct amount was received.
What can change the value of a quote?
Privacy, a particular departure option and a more complicated transfer can affect the product you are comparing. For a couple, the largest useful upgrade may be a private ground tour after a shared balloon flight. For a group, being collected together might matter more than a certificate or souvenir. Ask the provider to describe the actual difference between its packages instead of paying for an unexplained adjective.
Keep weather terms in the comparison. A flexible date is useful only if another morning fits your holiday. If the operator cancels, establish how the balloon amount is handled and which other bookings remain payable. There is a separate guide to weather delays and cancellations.
Get a quote that is ready to confirm
Send your preferred date, alternative date if possible, traveler count and accommodation. Add any onward flight, train or cruise departure. Ask the team to return one clear summary covering the flight option, pickup arrangements, unit price, total, currency and cancellation conditions. Save that message with your reservation reference.
You can request availability and a current quote without entering card details. Wait for the team’s confirmation before using a payment link. Choosing a well-defined quote makes it easier to compare value, and much easier to resolve a misunderstanding later.
Common questions
Is the lowest Luxor balloon price always the best choice?
Compare the actual product, transfers and terms first. A lower quote can cover a different departure window or exclude arrangements you need.
Does a booking request take payment?
No. Our request form records your details; the team confirms availability, price and pickup before payment is arranged.
Are temple tickets included in a balloon fare?
Do not assume so. Sightseeing and monument admission need explicit confirmation in a separate or combined tour quote.
